Expedição Alaska – América Central

We arrived at Bogotá airport at half past midday and went straight to Air cargo Pack to pay for the freight (US$1100.00/bike).

and file the documents. Between going back and forth to the offices, Customs and the cargo shed, we spent six hours dealing with paperwork. At 6.30pm we went to the passenger terminal and bought our ticket to Panama City for the following day.

We woke up early and flew to Panama City on Friday, May 22, taking the opportunity to do some sightseeing and visit some casinos!

Earlier today we went to the cargo terminal at Panama City airport and picked up the bikes without much difficulty, just some misinformation and a lot of heat, 35 degrees and feeling 45 due to the humidity!

We left Panama City around midday and arrived in David at 18:00. On the way we crossed the Panama Canal on a bridge that seemed to be over 100 meters high! The road here is very green and, apart from a small section under renovation, very good!

Tomorrow we enter Costa Rica!
