Day 1
Arrival in Antofagasta
On this tour, we will explore the Atacama Desert and the stunning landscapes of Northwest Argentina, on an itinerary designed to enchant those seeking striking natural scenery and the true essence of adventure. Our journey begins on the Pacific Coast in the city of Antofagasta, home to the famous La Mano del Desierto sculpture framed by the arid vastness. We follow roads through remarkable landscapes toward Copiapó, the gateway to the imposing Andes Mountains. The highlight of the Andean Crossing takes us to Tinogasta and the celebrated Route of the Six-Thousand-Meter Peaks, before arriving in charming Cafayate, famous for its high-altitude vineyards and the orange rock formations of the Quebrada de las Conchas. Heading further into the region, we reach Purmamarca to contemplate the iconic Cerro de los Siete Colores and the traditional architecture of the Quebrada de Humahuaca. Finally, we cross the cordillera once more toward San Pedro de Atacama, where we will base ourselves to leisurely experience the best of the region: Valle de la Luna, geysers at dawn, salt lagoons, and majestic volcanoes. Tour conducted with motorcycles rented in Chile.
The itinerary departs from the coast of Antofagasta toward the arid and monumental landscapes of the Atacama Desert and Northwest Argentina. The route crosses the Andes Mountains via the San Francisco and Jama passes, visiting icons such as the Hand of the Desert, Cafayate, and Purmamarca.
