This trip begins in Los Angeles, heading north on the Pacific Coast Highway. The first stretch runs along the California coast towards Carmel-by-the-Sea, with the road following the cliffs and sharp curves of Big Sur, where the Pacific Ocean remains constantly on the left. After a stop in Carmel, we will take a loop ride to San Francisco, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge and facing the cool, humid weather of the bay.
Leaving the coast, the route heads east, crossing the central valley and beginning the climb up the Sierra Nevada to Lake Tahoe. The scenery changes from sea level to high altitudes, with roads surrounded by pine trees and crystal clear waters on the border with Nevada. The route then heads south towards Yosemite National Park, best accessed via Tioga Pass, where the asphalt cuts through granite formations and deep glacial valleys.
The descent through the mountains continues to Sequoia National Park along thewinding Generals Highway, lined with giant sequoia trees. Finally, the journey enters its closing stage, leaving the high-altitude forests behind and crossing the agricultural areas of the valley towards the south, until it re-enters the urban flow of Los Angeles, completing the circuit between the sea and the high mountains.
